What’s the story behind the name TransScribing? Simple, first and foremost I am a writer (hence Scribing), and I am a transgender woman, therefore when I write, I am a TransScribing.
How does being a transgender woman and bard/storyteller shape my work?
Being a transgender woman who transitioned in her latter 30’s gives me a broader perspective than one might find from other writers or creatives, as I have a large pool of the human life experience to draw from that includes existing as both genders. While I had my internal battle doing my best to be a man to meet societal standards, which I was determined to do for everyone but myself, I was after told by various women that I deserved an Oscar for my performance as a man. As a woman, I have been able to experience life as my genuine self which has allowed me a tremendous amount of self-growth. The collective of life experiences allows me to connect with more depth of understanding to broader and focused audiences alike.

My goal is to empower the growth of others through spreading knowledge, morality, and challenging thought to knock down closed doors and perspectives to open them to opportunity and consideration, encouraging collaboration to bring humanity together for a brighter future with more understanding, interaction, building, and safety for all!

I’m not as much as a niche copywriter as I am a creative writer, with a curious mindset and an abundance of experience marketing behind the scenes and in customer-facing settings.
Focused
I know how to get people’s attention, how to help them find what they are looking for, and how to get them to take the step to get what they want, sealing the deal.
Investigative
I’m investigative, and I’m not selling my knowledge of a field that I can learn, I’m selling my connection to people, skilled writing, and ability to reach and motivate them with my words.
What do I love outside of writing?
I love nature; hiking in it, running in it, paddling down a river, walking on sand, climbing a tree or rock, descending into a cave, or just admiring wildlife or the sky! I have had a connection with animals my entire life and am currently a cat mom. I cherish the arts. I embrace music with my soul and am deeply moved by a wide array of musicians. I love musicals, theater, and film! I play roleplaying games and spent my childhood looking forward to every opportunity to play Dungeons & Dragons (even when I was younger than the game suggested). I love stories, in so many forms, but I am still picky; I grew up obsessed with Tolkien’s Middle Earth, Herbert’s Dune Universe, and Weis & Hickman’s Krynn which were a gateway to many others! I am also an anime junky. Amidst all of that, I love exercising, I love clothes, I love food, I love history, a good adventure, and all things dark, mysterious, and gothic! As much as I love wearing black, I shine like a rainbow too! I also love to compete, and will play nearly any sport, against any opponent, but I’m always hoping to find someone that wants to hit the tennis court with me! Above all these things, I love my family; my mother, my dearly departed father, my brother and his family, the extended families of my parents, and the family of my partner. Vyolet is my light, my dusk, my love, my partner. I am Scarlett, the dawn.
